    • The 8 Fundamental Strokes: Mastering the building blocks of every Roundhand lowercase letter.

    • The Power of the Oval: Understanding the geometry and basic structure behind graceful upper-case letters.

    • Variations: Exploring the variation of uppercase letter - Classical style and Romantic Airy style

    • Simple Flourish: Learning how to ornate the capital

  • 1-to-1 Live Instruction: Every minute of the course is spent live with me. You get my undivided attention and a front-row seat to every stroke of the pen.

  • Total Scheduling Flexibility: Your time is valuable. We will arrange your sessions according to your personal schedule, allowing you to learn at the times that suit you best—whether that's early mornings or quiet weekends.

  • Customized Pace: We move as fast or as slow as you need. If you master a stroke quickly, we move on; if a letter is giving you trouble, we stay until you are happy with it.

  • Immediate Feedback: No more wondering if you're holding the pen correctly. I provide instant corrections to your grip, angle, and pressure to prevent bad habits before they start.

How to make it happen?

It’s a simple answer! You may book the first session with me via calendar, and I will reach out to you via Email / Phone Text / IG message for onwards class arrangements.

  • To get the most out of our time together, you will need:

    • A Reliable Internet Connection: For smooth, lag-free video.

    • A Tablet, Laptop, or Desktop: A larger screen is recommended so you can see the fine details of the strokes.

    • Your Calligraphy Kit: I will send a recommended supply list (including nibs, ink, and paper) prior to our first session so you are ready to write. You may also purchase the kit from me for AUD 50, including Australian Post delivery fee.

    • Optional - Phone Stand: If you’d like me to review your grip in real-time, a simple phone stand allows you to point your smartphone camera at your paper so I can watch your nib work.

    • At Last - Be Relax! These sessions are designed for you to unwind, and truly enjoy the art of writing without pressure!

  • The introductory course is structured into 2 comprehensive sessions, typically take 5 hours to complete.. However, since the pace is customized to you, we can adjust the timing to ensure you acquire the skills before moving on.

  • Absolutely. Every Zoom session can be recorded and sent to you afterward. This creates a personalized library of instructions that you can replay whenever you are practicing on your own.

  • You have total scheduling flexibility.

    Once you have completed the first session, we may arrange the sessions at times that suit your lifestyle. Whether you prefer a consistent weekly slot or want to book sessions as your schedule allows, the choice is yours.

  • While paid fees are non-refundable, we understand that life is unpredictable. We offer a flexible rescheduling policy to ensure you don't lose your investment:

    • Advance Notice: You may reschedule your session via the booking calendar at no extra cost up to 48 hours in advance.

    • Emergency/Sickness: For sudden illness or emergencies within the 48-hour window, please contact me as soon as possible. I will do my best to provide a one-time courtesy reschedule so you can still complete your session.

    • No-Shows: Failure to attend a scheduled session without prior notice will result in the loss of that session fee.

  • While I love the idea of sharing the creative process with friends, this specific course is designed as a dedicated 1-to-1 private session to ensure you receive my undivided attention.

    However, if you would like to have the session with a group of friends, I can certainly host a private group workshop via Zoom! While the format differs from the 1-to-1 intensive, it is a wonderful, relaxed way to enjoy the art of calligraphy together.

  • While the handouts are written in English, I am pleased to offer my 1-to-1 live sessions in English, Cantonese, or Mandarin. You are welcome to choose the language you feel most comfortable with for your learning journey.
